Personnel Qualification and Training Standards
With the rapid strides occurring in automotive technology today that directly and indirectly affect the auto repair industry, Firestone Auto Body recognizes the need for highly trained and experienced technicians. Well-trained and highly qualified technicians are one of the most important factors in the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) equation. They are equally important in producing a consistently excellent quality of work that does not compromise vehicle safety.
For these reasons, Firestone Auto Body embraces the philosophy of the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair concerning excellence through training. Its ASE certified body men and refinishers all are I-Car professionals, a distinction also held by its shop manager, foreman, and estimaters.
Their professional refinishers are thoroughly trained in the use of the latest paint and materials available. They periodically attend refresher-training classes as scheduled by product manufacturers. The shop manager and foreman are also cross-trained in refinishing techniques. This serves as an additional form of quality control on the part of management.
Personnel using the Chief EZ Liner S21s, dedicated benches and all other frame correcting equipment along with the laser measuring systems are factory-trained in the use of the equipment and the industry’s simultaneous multiple pulling methods. This includes the shop manager and foreman.
